About the Material

Plastic called Accura 60 is excellent for early-stage rough prototypes and mechanical strength. For early prototyping applications, Accura 60 is a cost-effective material that, with post-processing choices, can provide a superior surface polish than PLA.

Material Finish

Low-resolution (0.1 mm) layering gives Accura 60 a matte finish with distinct extrusion lines. Black, White, and Neutral are the three colors available for the Accura 60, each of which has a slightly different finish.

Accura 60 resembles the finish of black PLA and is somewhat more glossy than its Neutral and White cousins.

While White Accura 60 is the least dazzling appearance of the three, Neutral Accura 60 has a more milky finish.

  • Internal Cavities: All internal cavities will have support material inside.
  • Threads and Inserts: For ABS, we recommend you use heat stake inserts. For more information, check out our article on The Best Fasteners for 3D Printed Parts.
  • Text Guidelines: Engraved text (indented) is recommended over embossed, since ABS is not able to capture fine details very well.
