About the Material

Plastic called Accura 25 is excellent for early-stage rough prototypes and mechanical strength. For initial prototyping applications, Accura 25 is a cost-effective material that, with post-processing choices, can provide a superior surface polish than PLA.

Material Finish

Low-resolution (0.1 mm) layering gives Accura 25 a matte finish with distinct extrusion lines. Black, White, and Neutral are the three color options for the Accura 25, each of which has a slightly different finish.

Comparable to the finish of black PLA, black Accura 25 is slightly more glossy than its Neutral and White equivalents.

White Accura 25 is the least shiny finish of the three, whereas Neutral ABS has a more milky appearance.

  • Internal Cavities: All internal cavities will have support material inside.
  • Threads and Inserts: For ABS, we recommend you use heat stake inserts. For more information, check out our article on The Best Fasteners for 3D Printed Parts.
  • Text Guidelines: Engraved text (indented) is recommended over embossed, since ABS is not able to capture fine details very well.
